Do you know that natural products are trending? I believe we are realizing the importance of eating and using natural products, and it is valuable enough to make some lifestyle changes. Want to know the latest trends in natural products? Read on, friend!

Coconut

Coconut water has been becoming more popular in the past few years! Coconut water is packed with potassium and is a good alternative to drinks high in sugar such as soda. Try out coconut water the next time you want to reach for a sugary drink!

Coconut oil can be used in many different ways: cooking, shaving, and moisturizing, to name a few. Coconut oil is also used in Dr. Squatch soap. Read more here about the benefits of coconut oil in soap!

Ch-ch-ch-chia!

Chia, which is high in fiber and Omega-3 fatty acids, is in everything now! You can buy peanut butter with chia, energy bars with chia, chia drinks, granola with chia, chia squeezes for the kids, and chia seeds to sprinkle on your food. You can even make your own chia seed drink by adding warm water, chia seeds, and a juice of your choice. Combine them all and refrigerate your drink for day. Then enjoy your homemade, viscous liquid!

The Snackies

These days, instead of grabbing for some greasy chips or sugary crackers, you can reach for seaweed snacks, freeze-dried fruit & veggies, or healthy popcorn! (Quinn Popcorn is making some healthy popcorn these days. They even have a kale popcorn and a coconut oil popcorn!)

Jerky

Beef jerky is no longer beef. Or jerky. Well, let me explain! There are many types of jerky you can buy: chicken, turkey jerky (I prefer to spell this terky jerky), beef jerky, elk jerky, and even vegan jerky! Go all natural with Krave Jerky– they don’t have any nitrites or artificial flavors. They have creative and delicious flavors such as Chili Lime and Sweet Chipotle. YUM!

Cold Brew Coffee

Cold brew coffee is on the rise! You can make it at home, steeping the beans and water for 12-24 hours, or you can buy it! I make my cold brew every week using PW’s method. It is really delicious when you add half and half, sweetened condensed milk, and ice! If you don’t want to make it at home, or want to experiment with other flavors, there are many incredible companies who sell cold brew. My favorite is Icebox Coffee. I am pretty proud of my method but I have to say Icebox might be better than mine! *Gasp!*

Naturally Fermented Food

Are you eating foods with probiotics, which are healthy bacteria? If not, try out some kombucha, tempeh, live cultured vegetables, or yogurt that has active cultures! You can find many of these products in the natural food sections of grocery stores. (If you find yourself in that area of the store you might feel very heath-conscious, hip, and… cultured.)

Essential Oils

Essential oils are becoming more common with their uses spanning from freshening up a bathroom to relaxing after a stressful day at work. You can soak your feet in them or scrub your sink with them. You can also find essential oils in Dr. Squatch soap and cologne!

This week, I encourage you to try some of these natural products that many of us are beginning to eat and use.

Stay natural, y’all!
